Special Projects

Much of my recent work has focused on special projects to support various marketing campaigns.

Mobile App Icons

To support Bryant’s intranet portal, I designed a suite of icons for a complementary mobile application. This is Bryant’s first official foray into mobile app development.

Stats for Success

Working with an external graphic designer, this interactive infographic built in html and javascript showcases some of the impressive statistics at Bryant to help admitted students in their college decision process.

Nowadays it seems that, ultimately, all roads lead to a webpage. Whether through social media outlets, advertising, or collateral, there is always a url for more information.

User Interface

The dot.com boom offered great opportunities for me to learn quickly, make deep contributions to an organization, and explore different industries and companies.

Course Technology

Course Technology developed online courseware to complement Thomson Learning’s textbooks. In addition to user interface design for their products, I integrated usability testing into the development cycle and completed some exploratory work for Thomson’s re-branding campaign. Course Technology was merged with Wave Technologies in 2000.

Strong Numbers

The last start-up I did work for was Strong Numbers, a company that tracked cost data for consumers to help them decide when and where to buy select products. My role included interface design for a new B2B product called Marketview, as well as branding work.

Product Search Controls

The web interface had to offer the ability to manipulate and download information.

When I first started freelancing, I was fortunate to gain clients solely by word-of-mouth. Apparently that word was logos.

Logos

Distilling a brand into a visual element that works across media is an interesting challenge. I really enjoy the process of delving into a company’s mission and goals, understanding the client’s perspectives, and creating a solution that imparts a sense of personality.

The first start-up I worked at was Insurance Technology Services of America, which sought to transform the insurance industry by creating web applications for consumers and insurance agents.
