Special Projects

Much of my recent work has focused on special projects to support various marketing campaigns.
Mobile App Icons
To support Bryant’s intranet portal, I designed a suite of icons for a complementary mobile application. This is Bryant’s first official foray into mobile app development.

My role in developing e-mail communications varies depending on the project and client, ranging from marketing strategy to design and editorial to html coding and tracking.

Working with the Director of Public Relations, we determined an editorial strategy and communication schedule to share interesting stories and news coverage with select faculty and staff who are active in social media for Bryant or who regularly communicate with external audiences such as alumni and prospective students. I designed the newsletter and manage the monthly build and deployment. |

HR Connections replaced the quarterly print newsletter that Human Resources sent to faculty and staff. Based on the “This Just In” layout, I developed editorial categories for the monthly e-newsletter (during the academic year) that addressed key areas of communication for HR in a format that was easy for them to create and maintain themselves. |

Alumni Relations sends the monthly newsletter to 40,000+ alumni. I developed the overall layout and editorial categories, and worked with the graphic designer on the design. My continuing role includes building the newsletter and supporting pages, deployment, and tracking. |

Nowadays it seems that, ultimately, all roads lead to a webpage. Whether through social media outlets, advertising, or collateral, there is always a url for more information.

When I first started freelancing, I was fortunate to gain clients solely by word-of-mouth. Apparently that word was logos.
Logos
Distilling a brand into a visual element that works across media is an interesting challenge. I really enjoy the process of delving into a company’s mission and goals, understanding the client’s perspectives, and creating a solution that imparts a sense of personality.

The first start-up I worked at was Insurance Technology Services of America, which sought to transform the insurance industry by creating web applications for consumers and insurance agents.
